Security – A Concern in Digital World

In today's world, Security for our digital devices has become a major concern all over which carry our important information all the time. I have came across some major events recently, which I would like to share with you all. I was thinking of some of the facts which really should be taken seriously and these facts literally became real which was really shocking for me.


Facts are following:


1. Whenever you are sitting with your Smartphone, It is listening to your talks, your surroundings sounds and even they trigger cameras to capture you by using Primary and Secondary cameras of the phone. This is not only with Android and Iphones(Most affected by the company itself). I am not being biased for Apple users, Android had also remained affected with these kind of things, however, being a open-source OS, it can be controlled and you can secure your phone as you want and in iOS its is not there as it completely controlled by one company.


2. The Applications which are under scanner are Majorly Social media related which unknowingly record what you say, what you do. They even know when you pickup the phone, when you are walking, what you are talking and when phone has been placed on desk etc.. and list goes on with the help of sensors that are in the phone. Firstly, My wife noticed this, that whenever you are saying specific word or place you want to visit, Facebook would show that specific place or product you were talking about few hours in the form of ads and same with other free apps also.


Recently, all became true through news about Apple slowing down the phones and Apps showing ads what you are talking about recently.

3. Other things I have noticed is ISP's(Internet Service Providers) injecting ads in Browsers which you do not want and it is too without your permission. It means when you are visiting any web page through browser, Page that came up with ads which shouldn’t have been there. They can even capture what you type. So, stay alert what you are visiting on PC, Mobiles and while downloading, installing softwares & apps from Playstore.


Next Point comes how to secure your devices like Android, Windows and MAC Operating Systems:


1. Either use Linux OS or make sure that your Windows, MAC and Android Operating Systems are fully secured with good security apps like AVG, ESET Security, Norton Etc.


2. You can install small extensions on Chrome, Mozilla like "Ublock" which can block any unwanted ads and websites which spread malware. This extension is completely free to use and open source from Linux World.


3. If you want see which app is triggering your mobiles sensors like Camera, Mic etc. without your consent, You can install ‘Haven’ app from below link, recently released by White Hat Hacker ‘Edward Snowden’. It will trigger events whenever your apps try to access any of the camera's, mic etc on your device. It can crash as it is in development stage. Power for the people.

4. Most recommended - While taking call on Mobiles, is the use of Headphones with Mic. As using Headphone will stop Apps to what you are talking on the call as this is a seperate hardware for talking and listening. No sensor is involved in it.

LIFE HAs become mini....

What about life...We don't know how we are living it...Is it to the Max??..As we think...or Is to the low?...these are just our views which we go through in our daily lives...Don't know what life has become today is it big or small...we all  always strive to make our lives filled with love and happiness..that we always strive for isn't it?....if we compare our old lives with newer ones..it has become smaller,smaller and smaller...everything is becoming small...About 300 years ago we use to have very big bodies built for kill kind of strategy...In the time of Rama, Wheat seed was that much big that you can place it in your hand...it is still being displayed in Museum in Ayodhya....Now a days Seed a so much smaller...

Mobiles were big they are getting smaller...Cars were big now they are also getting smaller...Our Houses were big,they are getting smaller, Our love with in family was big it is getting smaller...Now families are broken in one and one....Living in small houses....Metros..Same has started in other Rural areas too...Metro is reaching Urban too....Farmers are running towards the Metro cities....

Our LIFE has become so much hard and very small that we have our own world to live...haven't got time to look at others....even our families are missing us...There was incident in Delhi in Connaught Place in New Delhi which is the heart of Delhi...A poor woman gave birth to a child in the open..Nobody even came to cover her...finally one woman was there who came covered her with Cloth..after she gave birth to Child......Humanity has died within us...What you want from from yourself?? This is kind of life where life is dying....where hearts are getting smaller...not ready to even help others....This is one of the incidents..I don't know how much incidents I might be missing....

We are trying our best to make everything smaller...Mobile phones into chip-sets...that can make life inch smaller...Computers to Touch screen smart phones...and we think we are getting High tech.. and we don't know getting into these gadgets, our hearts, our relationship are getting smaller...where we used to wait for the letter from one person..imagine the love; one used to have for that letter..sometimes you even find the tears of a person on that...it shows how much a person was into that..Even getting of the house is hard for a person. We know that  use of these gadgets can't be stopped, however we can manage with them averagely, at-least get out of your hearts and help people...these gadgets can be used for a good purpose too....but we need to use them in good way..

                                                                   Spend your time with your loved ones...even people are missing on that....One point will come you all with miss the time..thinking..Oh Man! I should have spent that time with my family..You don't know when your life is going to end...Is it today or tomorrow...Don't forget, do the Humanity today don't wait for tomorrow...Tomorrow will come..but you never know what it would be....I completely agree we have to make money and provide the money to our families which run our part of life...However it can't run our 80% part of our life...which is completely dependent on our love, care and most important our family....Don't make life so much small you don't have time for your loved ones....Times have changes as people say..Time has not changed..it's you have changed....

 Come out!! of your small houses of heart..Show some respect to your elders, small ones, to your wife,brother,sister, to your neighbor, to your beloved,  Most importantly to yourself if you can do that..you can do others things too....Pray to God whenever you get time...God bless you all....
